The Appalachian Police Department (APD) is located in the Rivers Street Parking Deck in Boone and on the first floor in Hickory, next to the information desk. Report a crime or suspicious activity in Boone or Hickory (non-emergency) at 828-262-2150 or you can report a crime or suspicious activity to APD in person.

You can anonymously report a crime or any suspicious activity in Boone by calling Watauga County Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959. To report a crime or any suspicious activity anonymously in the Hickory area, call 828-466-2847 or visit the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Give a Tip page.
